The Nova Scotia Provincial
Nominee Program encourages qualified immigrants to settle in the
local communities to help the province meet its industrial, economic
and labour-market needs. The Program is designed to help Nova Scotia
employers fill critical skill shortages in the permanent workforce
and to create economic benefit for the provincial economy.
The goal is to locate and encourage
economic immigrants who will settle and work in Nova Scotia. The
Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program allows employers to nominate
up to 1,000 immigration candidates over five years - 200 candidates
each year, plus their immediate family members.
Nominees accepted under the
Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program will become permanent residents
of Canada, who can apply for citizenship after three years. However,
you must meet the Program's criteria to qualify.
There are two categories for
the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program:
- Economic nominees (Experienced
managers) and;
- Skilled workers with guaranteed
job offer
Note: At the time of your interview,
you must also confirm your intention and commitment to settle in
